Alpenii Forces
You are Elek Bertin a Wizard follower of Count Fair. Hostile forces from Belmain and Goblin Porcia have launched a surprise attack against Count Fair's lands. They have sacked the town of Stemmel and you believe that amongst their prisoners is your wife Berylind.
You, with a few companions were scouting in the border hills, when the attack came. You know your Count's plan will be to form an army away to the West taking some time yet. Meanwhile you have sighted an enemy convoy of loot and captives, going back to Porcia. Though too weak to mount a full attack, you intend to obstruct and harass the enemy escorts. You hope to rescue some prisoners and have you actions give to others a chance to escape.

You have a map of the area and have dug a well-concealed pit trap, in the road near the Amazon Bridge. When the column halts you may be able to do something. The Wood Amazons live across the bridge and they will care for any female escapees. They are more likely to kill any males crossing the bridge.
You camped last night in the marked cave. Bedding, bones and smell, indicate that it is used by a large ogre! You have seen a wine trader's stall beside the River Bridge, so perhaps the enemy will halt there. You need to be sure your troops can retreat from their ambush hides. You have a canoe hidden beside the river, so that you can cross over if necessary.
If you can get any prisoners across to the Dead Wood Crags area they should be safe.
